Since the implementation of the Bologna Declaration in 2006, SGH has been adjusting its course offer to conform to demands of the three-tier study system. At present, the School offers all international students around 300 courses taught in English on both BA and MA levels. This includes compulsory core courses of different majors and a wide range of elective ones covering topics from economics and management to sociology and international relations.
Although some courses are more advanced than others, all are designed to increase the student’s academic knowledge and develop practical skills. While teaching methods and educational devices may vary from one course to another, all promote constructive discussion and help develop student’s analytical skills. Since all courses offered are also open to regular SGH students, they generate positive exchange of ideas and provoke constructive multicultural teamwork.
Each spring, SGH prepares a full course catalogue for the forthcoming academic year that caters to students’ needs and the changing demands of the job market. Containing detailed course outlines, the catalogue is published in mid-June and commences the process of student enrolment, lasting almost 4,5 months and ending at the beginning of Fall semester.
Exchange students are required to have at least 21 ECTS points, unless their home university exempts them from this requirement.
