ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BEFORE YOU CAN REGISTER FOR COURSES
After being nominated on-line by your local programme manager, you receive your individual login to our on-line enrolment system where you input your personal data and apply for place in the student dormitory (if that is your option). You have to apply via this
Registration Platform
Once you fill the application in, it should be printed, get it signed by your programme manager and sent along with 3 passport size photos to our Incoming Students Officer. More details you may find at
International Centre webpage for Incoming Students. After registering in our system, SGH generates your student ID number and login (with password) to access SGH Virtual Dean’s Office. There, one can register for courses.
REGISTRATION PROCESS STEP-BY-STEP
STEP 1: WHAT TO REGISTER FORDuring this registration, please register for:
Core Course: it is mandatory course for you and for CEMSies only, but to make everything in order, please register for it anyway!
Electives: Please register for CEMS Electives as listed in the schedule and the registration list.
All courses are accompanied with course schedule. Alternatively, the schedule is also available on CEMS web at SGH:
Current CEMS MIM course schedules
As you notice, the electives with companies (like l’Oreal, McKinsey, P&G - depending on term) are not available for registration, since there is a separate recruitment for these courses. Because you are not sure if you will be selected for these courses, please take extra electives just in case to compensate the failure in application. Once you will get confirmation, you will keep that course or drop it. Details on how to so, will be announced later.
STEP 2: COURSES WITH COMPANIES THAT REQUIRE SEPARATE APPLICATION
Application for these courses will be announced at
dedicated webpage.
The web is unfortunately still in Polish, but if you see an active link (green bolded title of the course) and info with application deadline (aplikacje do…), please click on it and you will be directed to English web with course descriptions and application procedure. CEMS Office at SGH will also try to follow the info and will let you know if the registration is already available. It will be also places in our course schedule.
STEP 3: COURSE LOAD
Your course load is determined by CEMS and local school rules and your current progress. Remember, that in each term you have to take at least 24 ECTS in courses (core course, electives and open elective – language, business project, RGL seminar, skill seminars), and you should not take more than 37.5 ECTS (taking into account the same components). Upon request you may take more than maximum, but you are not allowed to take less than minimum 24 ECTS.
To help you in planning of your entire MIM year (in the coming term you have to complete the programme: 45 ECTS in courses, 15 ECTS in Business Projects, 6 ECTS of extra courses and components: Block Seminar – 3 ECTS, RGL Seminar -1 ECTS, BCSS – 1 ECTS, Skill Seminars - 1 ECTS i.e. 2 days) please use our Excel file called
CEMS Term Calculator STEP 4: REGISTRATION FOR CEMS COURSES: VDO WEBSITEOnce you know what to register for, why and how many to take, you may proceed to the course registration process.
In order to do so, first, you have to go to
VDO webIt is English version, but Polish version is also available by clicking PL icon.
Once you click, you will get to the login page. Please use your university login and password. Then please click on instructions on how to register (please read them carefully) and then proceed to the selection of courses (selection of new courses based on the course schedule link).
Once you complete the selection, please save, print and logout! That's it!
TO make changes to your declaration after the period of registration, you will have to follow the instructions and the dates announced for Master's studnets by our Incoming Student Officer
DEADLINES FOR REGISTRATION:
The schedules will be announced by email to all CEMS students in advance
REGISTRATION FOR NON-CEMS COURSES
If, by chance, you need/wish/may register for non-CEMS courses at SGH, you will also have to use VDO in the dates announced for regular exchange students and provided by our Incoming Students Officer. They will be availalbe from Incoming Exchange Student Website.
Be aware that except language courses, they will not be counted for your CEMS MIM programme.
REGISTRATION FOR POLISH FOR BEGINNERS & OTHER LANGUAGE TUTORIALS
Registration for Polish course (and upon permisiion and individual arrangements also for other tutorials) you will have to register with other exchange studnets in the way and dates announced by our Incoming Students Officer (as presented above).
In case of other languages (German, French, Italian, Russian, and Spanish), you may be allowed to join one of our tutorials group depending on your language proficiency (that will be assessed). Be aware that except Polish these courses require some prior experience, since these are at intermediate level.
To register for such option, you have to contact CEMS Programme Manager at SGH and our CEMS Language Co-ordinator at SGH Ms. Anna Przedmojska-Glińska who will assist you in finding proper group, if available.
