Company and university representatives locally select students for the CEMS MIM. In order to apply, students must fill out a CEMS Common Application Form possibly complemented by a local application form to be handed into the home university at a given date.

  • Intellectual potential & knowledge (including academic excellence and prior knowledge of management, i.e. academic degree or at least 60 ECTS of completed courses in that discipline)
  • Attitudes & soft skills (interpersonal skills, desire to achieve, integrity, critical thinking and motivation for CEMS MIM)
  • International Orientation (language skills, international openness, cross-cultural aptitudes)

Selection for CEMS at SGH is conducted on-line once a year in the months of November and December. Details (along with rules and regulations) are presented in the Admission Process section.

IMPORTANT: All candidates, on top of other requirements, must present proof of fluency in TWO LANGUAGES of which one can be a mother tongue! In the case of English it is mandatory to possess formal qualifications confirmed by one of the following commercial tests:

  • TOEFL (PBT/CBT/iBT): 600/250/100 minimum scores
  • IELTS at the minimum level of 7.0
  • CAE - grade B minimum or
  • CPE (Grade A, B, C, and C1 Level Certificate)
  • BEC (Higher) - Grade A
  • GCSE (A-level) exam issued in Singapore
That is why all candidates should check the registration and examination dates as soon as possible!
Graduates of university degree where the language of instruction was English, are exempted from this requirement, provided the university is one of the CEMS members schools or is EQUIS/AACSB International accredited or are in English-speaking country. You may be also released from that requirement if you join and pass CEMS English Accredited Course (at C1 or C2 levels).
Once students are selected, they will be registered on the CEMS database.
Since CEMS from 2013/2014 a.y. requires on entry proficiency only TWO LANGUAGES (with English as mandatory or mother-tongue), while on exit (on the completion of the programme) in THREE LANGUAGES (English, and two other languages), in the coming selections we may admit students without proof of proficiency in the third language or with a score of the SGH Competence Test lower than 60. However, those with confirmed proficiency in the third language will be granted extra selection points.
