Duties and responsibilities associated with proper functioning of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in the areas of administration, finance, economics, logistics, technical support and customer service are provided by administration units headed by the Chancellor who is appointed by the Rector with approval of the Senate.

Due to the state of pandemic, classes until the end of the semester, as well as exams in the summer session will be conducted at SGH Warsaw School of Economics by means of electronic communication. more Prof. Piotr Wachowiak, Ph.D., was elected Rector of SGH Warsaw School of Economics for the 2020-2024 term. He is the current Vice Rector for Research and Management and the Head of Institute of Management at SGH. more Due to the epidemic caused by coronavirus disease SARS-CoV-2, the World Health Organization has declared a state of public health threat at a global level. Pursuant to the Rector’s Order of 26 February 2020 all travels of SGH employees and students to countries listed in the announcement by the Polish Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) are suspended until further notice. We also recommend cancelling private trips.
Furthermore, according to the Rector’s Order, it is highly recommended that the participants of various forms of study who visited the countries listed below during the winter break of the 2019/2020 academic year or later remain at their place of residence for the period of 14 days following their return. The absences in class in this period will be excused based on submitted travel documentation. more On October 28, The Financial Times published the „Masters In Management” ranking. Two programmes offered by SGH were once again named among the world’s top 100 programmes. CEMS Master In Management, which is co-administered by SGH – the only Polish economic university allied within CEMS – moved up to the 8th place. The other SGH’s Management programme was ranked at the 58th spot. more On June 25, SGH Warsaw School of Economics organized an information meeting on the principles of the SGH & CIMA Programme in the academic year 2018/2019 as well as the workshops for candidates. Students interested in getting CIMA qualifications are reminded that the recruitment via the Virtual Dean's Office (Certificates tab) will start on July 1 and will last until October 5, 2018. more
